The increasing number of people born with psychic abilities in recent decades has had no direct bearing on your small town life. No, you are Scott MacKenzie from Smithsville, and your biggest interests are the girls who don't pay any attention to you, and playing an old-fashioned paper-and-dice role playing game your dad gave you with your two best friends.
Then a new kid at school, Trevor, says he'd like to play, and the first time he does you find yourself transported into the muscle-bound body of the character you had been pretending to be moments before, swinging a sword in a fantasy world complete with monsters, dungeons, and magic. But how much of it is real, and why can't you shake the feeling that Trevor has more in mind than a little fun and games?
